BPAL: The Dormouse

THE DORMOUSE (Mad Tea Party):

A dizzying eddy of four teas brushed with light herbs and a breath of peony.

My initial reaction after putting this on was, "where's the tea?" Several hours later, I realized I was wandering around in a lingering cloud of something that reminded me an awful lot of the not-lemon notes in Embalming Fluid, ergo, the tea. I also thought I smelled something herby that definitely wasn't tea, and wondered if it could be peony--unlikely, since florals tend to be distinctly floral on me. Now that I look at the description again, I see that there is indeed an herb note, which makes me feel smart and stupid at the same time.

I still want a tea scent that smells like the teas I like to drink--black tea, oolong tea, rose tea, that sort of thing--but this is lovely in its own way. Ever so faintly sweet, herby, and distracting, it's an unusual and attractive perfume scent. It wears nicely, so I'm thinking I might want a bottle.
