Berenice (Maelstrom)
A cerebral scent, dry, and white. This is a perfume of thought, not heart, and of unforeseen pain and sudden obsession, touched with uncertain twilight and ambiguous horror. Stargazer lily, white musk, clear aloe, blonde amber and winding-cloth linen.
A lot of the people on the BPAL forums said this one was a lot like Antique Lace without the vanilla. I'm inclined to agree. It's very breathy and heady--maybe a touch of ozone? I think I like it better than Antique Lace (which, while pleasant, is not that sophisticated a vanilla, and I like it better for the non-vanilla later stage). I dunno what linen smells like, but I'm pretty sure I can find the amber and the aloe, which make for a nice, light scent. Maybe some musk in the background? I'm not positive I know what musk smells like at this point.
