Mignola doesn't draw beefcake, exactly, but I did think that Ffhard and the Gray Mouser were pretty easy on the eyes.

I'm afraid Minx has indeed folded. There's been tons of discussion floating around the comics blogsphere about it, but it pretty much comes down to Minx not selling well enough, and DC not having the commitment to it to keep it up and running when it didn't immediately dominate the market and displace manga as the teenage girl's drug of choice. Plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose.

Nothing from the Minx line ever really rocked my world, although I enjoyed some of the books moderately, but I can't say it thrills me to see an effort to create good comics for young women die an inglorious death, despite DC's many fumbles with the line.
