FOUND:

Found, in the spare tire compartment of my trunk: 3 packets of instant gelatin (orange flavored), 1 nut-cracker pick, 1 bathing suit top (not my size), quantity of matches, provenance unknown.

Also found: manuscript of Arabian adventures.

LOST: paradise.

The matches and the jello sound like remnants of my paranoid efforts to equip my car for emergencies (they say powdered jello is really good emergency food -- lots of sugar, easy to carry.) The nutcracker pick and the bathing suit, however, I have no idea (I've never worn 2-pieces.)

Maybe it was a bra? It looked mikke-sized to me.

The nut-cracker pick will remain a mystery, I suppose.
