meme thing: 15 movie quotes

1. Pick 15 of your favorite movies.
2. Go to IMDB and find a quote from each movie.
3. Post them here for everyone to guess.
4. Strike it out when someone guesses correctly, and put who guessed it and the movie.
5. NO GOOGLING/using IMDB search functions. Totally cheating, you dirty cheaters.

This isn't my fifteen favorite movies--I don't really have favorite movies; there might be a writable number of movies I love, but it'd be pretty arbitrary--this is fifteen movies I could remember that I liked.

ED:
As the populace has failed to identify these, I give them to you now:

#7 - The Ruling Class
#8 - The Stuntman
#9 - The Lion in Winter
#10 - The Hobbit
#13 - The Music Man

Please note that 7-9 are all movie starring Peter O'Toole. I have a thing.

I'm sure that when someone names #s 2, 9, 10, and 15, it will be obvious to me! I can hear the cadences of the guy saying "Surely you realize that your success has made you some bitter enemies?" but I can't quite place him. [edit] Ahaha, I looked it up, and I should have known! I'll leave it for someone else to name, though.

How did you get #1? Have you seen the movie, or was it just me incessantly quoting the line?

[identity profile] mikkeneko.livejournal.com 2011-07-03 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
I've seen parts of the movie. I remember that scene!

[identity profile] retsuko.livejournal.com 2011-07-03 04:40 am (UTC)(link)
Is #9 from The Princess Bride?

And #14 sounds like Who's Afraid of Virgina Woolfe, but... not sure. :S

[identity profile] cerusee.livejournal.com 2011-07-03 04:45 am (UTC)(link)
Sadly, no, on both counts.

[identity profile] m00nface.livejournal.com 2011-07-03 10:11 am (UTC)(link)
14 is Back to the Future! 15 sounds extremely familiar, but I may have to come to that (seriously resisting the urge to cheat!).

You are correct, madam!

Yeah, googling this stuff is so easy these days, it's damned tempting.

15) is Interview with the Vampire! :)

Ding ding ding ding! We have a winner!

[identity profile] retsuko.livejournal.com 2011-07-03 11:15 pm (UTC)(link)
I try again:

Is #7 from The Importance of Being Earnest? ;)

[identity profile] cerusee.livejournal.com 2011-07-03 11:17 pm (UTC)(link)
:D

Nope. But you're maybe in the right hemisphere?

My obsession with Peter O'Toole is showing in this meme, if that helps at all.

[identity profile] windsorblue.livejournal.com 2011-07-04 02:40 am (UTC)(link)
Is #2 from 2001?

[identity profile] cerusee.livejournal.com 2011-07-04 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
Yes! Yes it is.

If anybody on my flist would get that one, I'd have expected it to be you. :D
