Aoi: Idate...I am your mentor. Ex-mentor.
Idate: Uh, yeah. So?
Aoi: Oh, nothing. It's just this lightsaber makes me think of Star Wars. Look, it's a taser, too! ZAP.
Audience: Good.

Sasuke: Naruto, take a break. We'll handle this.
Naruto: Pft, stop trying to act cool.
Sasuke: Look, if I don't do SOMETHING useful soon, my ego is going to require CPR.

Sakura: I will protect you, Idate!
Aoi: It's just you and him left. Heh. Go to heaven together, then.
Sakura: Well, he's cute and everything, but I'm actually saving myself for Sasuke.

Sakura: Oh man, I did something clever and cool and saved Sasuke's life, and he wasn't awake to see it.
Audience: Now you know how Naruto feels.

Sakura: Does it hurt, Sasuke?
Sasuke: Please, please stop trampling all over the shattered remnants of my pride.
Naruto: ::is happy and cute and sunny and completely oblivious::
Sasuke: I bet I could kill him in his sleep.

I KNEW IT! )

~edit~

The Law of Ueki 3 is out. Thank god, Fantastic Children gives me the strength to resist downloading fetid pig crap just because it has my favorite seiyuu in it (it doesn't hurt that Junko Minagawa sounds a hell of a lot like Paku Romi anyway). Stories can be good! Stories should be this good! Fantastic Children carries the powerful message that there's no reason to watch bad television. Also some stuff about reincarnation, I think. I'm not sure. I'm usually too busy watching to be thinking. Hey, it took me thirty or forty episodes of Naruto before it ever occured to me that Naruto has themes. And about sixteen episodes before I realized it was a shounen show. "Hey," I says to Mikke. "This is a shounen show." "Uh...yeah..." she says. "Didn't I say that?" (Actually, no.) Somehow, it always takes me an ungodly amount of time to pick up on that sort of thing. Needless to say, I often ran out of time on exams when I was in school.
