lovely spam wonderful spam
Jul. 22nd, 2005 11:30 pmI spam y'all, I know. But I'll follow this up by disappearing for days, sound good?
I went to the bookstore again. The damage: Eyeshield 21 Vol. 2. I don't watch football. I don't understand football. I don't care about football, especially now that I no longer get steak dinners every time the Cowboys win. But if there's one thing I've learned from reading sports manga, it's that you don't need to be a sports fan to enjoy it. In fact, it's possible that it helps not to be a sports fan. SO. I also bought Prince of Tennis Vol. 1, because what the hell, I could use another manga obsession to eat up all my cash and spare timeand I'm too impatient to wait for Death Note and Monster to start coming out in the fall.
Spare time, hah. I generally have to restrain myself from reading through all my bookstore purchases as once, lest I feel like I spent $30 for an hour's entertainment.
I also bought Alice 19th Vols. 3-4, despite only having read the first one, because I loved it in the first chapter--that's unusual for me--and I feel like spoiling myself by having lots of it on hand. Next time I'm in the store, I'll probably just go and get 5-7, just to have everything that's out. Am seriously thinking of getting all the Fushigi Yuugi related stuff I don't have, too. And Ayashi no Ceres. I'm kind of on a Watase kick this month.
By the way, you can thank CFUD for the Eyeshield 21 thing. I think Viz should like, send them a thank you note for all the CFUD-prompted business they're getting from me.
