The person who spoiled me on Nana really did it by accident--she wanted to know how far along our volumes were (up to 16) compared to what she'd read in scanlations. I asked her to give me a starting point, something pretty far back from where she was, just in case--and she misjudged rather horribly. I'm really not thrilled, because I do love the twists in that soap a lot, and I like surprises, but I admit I did sort of bring it on myself. I chalk it up to occupational hazard.

The Naruto spoilers--man, I was talking to a woman with I think some serious cognitive disabilities, and she just was not processing my repeated, "You just spoiled me about that. And that. Please, please, please stop talking about Naruto to me, you're ruining it for me. Please stop." And, sadly, as staff, I really couldn't either tell her to go to hell, or just walk away from her.

I've got no crusade against scanlations, but jesus, I wish people who do read them a lot would practice more consistent discretion.
