Given the amount of schoolwork I still have to do this week, it was perhaps not the wisest move in the world for me to open that package of Ava Luxe perfume samples the moment I got home, immediately begin trying them on, and then google the sample names to see what other people thought of them. An hour ago.
(But I'm psyched to learn that I am not the only person who thinks Madame X is the sexiest perfume ever, such that I ordered a whole bottle shortly after I first smelled it, a few months ago. Holy cripes, that stuff is amazing.)
Randomly: Johri (notes of green fig, Sicilian lemon, Chinese pepper blossom, galbanum, coconut milk, Virginian cedar, sandalwood, tonka, bourbon vanilla and white musk) is surprisingly awesome. I never imagined I could like a scent that reminds me this much of that coconut-scented sunscreen I wore so often as a kid. It's like an adult version of that childhood association, and just so much more appealing on the skin than that first sniff from the bottle lead me to believe.
