Gaara: FLASHBACK ANGST.
Sasuke: Mine's bigger than yours!

Sasuke: Is too!

Gaara: EAT YOUR HEAD!
Naruto: KICK YOUR ASS.

You know, when he wore his old blue-and-white outfit, I thought Sasuke looked like a giant pepsi can. Now that he's got that snazzy black thing, he looks more like a giant goth pepsi can.

I love how often Naruto seems to swoop in and save Sasuke from imminent death. I really wanted to watch more tonight, but I'm too brain-dead to enjoy it.

Seriously, though, how long can they drag out this Orochimaru/Sarutobi thing? He's been standing around in a clinch for three episodes, now! I know this is going to end with Sarutobi dying, and it'll be awful (I keep thinking I won't mind, and then they have Konohamaru looking at Sarutobi's sculpture thinking "Jiji!" and I get sniffly), but it's getting a little silly at this point.

Remember, this arc doesn't end until episode 80! Though, if you want to think about it, it's only long because they keep splitting up the action. I bet Sarutobi was only impaled for ten minutes... fifteen tops. :P

I watched that entire story arc in two days, and I have this mental image of HOURS and HOURS of that scene where the only action is Orochimaru wiggling his fingers to bring the sword a little bit closer.

I can't imagine what it must have been like to watch that spread over however many weeks it was.

I know what you mean! I actually watched the whole arc in one day, but still... I was SO squirming over seeing Orochimaru keep twitching his fingers while Sarutobi was so stoic and brave and determined to choke a bitch. The flashback to when Sarutobi first confronted Orochimaru and couldn't kill him nearly made me cry.

*pets* It's a good thing you stopped then. You'll want to marathon right until the end of the arc if you keep going. This is as good a place to stop as any, because once Naruto starts fighting Gaara... mrrrrrrr!!
