Mmm. I guess. I think there's a bit more flexibility in a teacher-student relationship than that, but...

...well, even people who are in their fifties sometimes make mistakes despite having good intentions.

*nods* I don't know if Naruto was looking for a "dad" per se, but definitely he wanted to be around Jiraiya more. I mean, come ON. He practically begged and even said Jiraiya could sleep or whatever. Naruto just wanted a physical presence around him.
